The College of Human Sciences is committed to providing students with the best possible education and preparing researchers in various fields of study, spanning both bachelor's and higher education. Our approach is adaptive to technological advancements and aligned with the evolving needs of society. Additionally, we strive to address societal issues through high-quality scholarly and professional scientific research papers. Moreover, the college is dedicated to internationalizing the Kurdish case, with a particular focus on the Halabja chemical attack. This is achieved through research initiatives, hosting and organizing international conferences and workshops, as well as establishing connections with research centers both within and outside of Kurdistan.

College Council

What is the College Council and what does it do?

The College Council is composed of the Dean of the College, Heads of Departments, Employes Representatives, and, when necessary, Student Representatives. The council is responsible for discussing all scientific and administrative matters within the college, including the determination of work and rest schedules, examination schedules, and admission issues.

The College Council performs the following functions:

Recommending admission requirements for academic departments and overseeing their implementation after approval.
Recommending the number of students to be admitted at the beginning of each academic year.
Proposing plans for the establishment of new scientific departments and branches, as well as suggesting the creation, merger, or dissolution of existing scientific departments or branches.
